Ultherapy in NYC

Revamp, restore, and rejuvenate your skin without the risks and side effects of traditional facelift procedures with Ultherapy by New York City’s Dr. Leslie Gerstman. Ultherapy is a popular treatment manufactured by Ulthera, Inc., which uses ultra-focused ultrasound to lift the skin. It draws on the same ultrasound principles physicians have trusted for decades. With ultrasound energy, it can lift and tighten the skin on the face and around the neck as quickly as a 30-minute procedure.

How Ultherapy Works

The ultrasound stimulates the generation of collagen, and makes the connective tissue tighter at a deeper level than non-surgical treatments. It also allows us to see the underlying connective tissue in the skin, so we can deliver targeted energy with the optimal temperature, depth, and precision in the right regions.

Unlike other facelifting methods, Ultherapy is the only non-invasive cosmetic procedure that targets the deeper layers of the skin. This FDA-approved procedure does not disrupt or cut the surface of the skin. In fact, it naturally and gradually rebuilds the supportive collagen fiber network within the skin. A full-face treatment will take around 45 minutes to 60 minutes, while a partial will take around 30 minutes. Because it is a non-invasive treatment, patients can resume their regular activities or come to work immediately after the treatment.

Natural-Looking Results

Ultherapy results look absolutely natural, with noticeable improvements as soon as two weeks after treatment, lasting 3 to 6 months – and sometimes even longer. Occasionally, patients come in for touch-ups after a year or two. Ultherapy can deliver amazing results to many areas of the face and body. Some of the possible results with Ultherapy are:

  • Higher eyebrows
  • Tighter jaw line
  • Smoother neck
  • Tighter chest, abdomen, arms, and knees

Some patients experience swelling, bruising and other temporary side effects that typically last for the first 2-3 days. Dermal fillers produce desired effects for anywhere between 6 months to longer than 12 months, depending on the treatment method, so that skin can look and feel refreshed.
