The Hyaluronic Acids

The Hyaluronic acid fillers consist of Juvederm, Juvederm Voluma, Restylane, Perlane, and Belotero. They are the most commonly used dermal fillers. Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the human body. It is biocompatible, and therefore eliminates any risk of allergic reaction.

dermal fillers

Juvederm is very hydrophilic, it absorbs water very well. So, it is a wonderful plumping agent for the lips, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines.

It it contains lidocaine for increased comfort and lasts 6-8 months on average.

Restylane and Perlane are very similar to Juvederm. Perlane is a slightly thicker product than Restylane and used when more volume is needed.

Juvederm Voluma

Voluma is the latest innovation in the Juvederm line of dermal fillers. It has the unique ability to provide tremendous lift to the cheek area. As the filler is inserted deep within the dermis, it provides support to the overlaying tissue and restoring beautiful facial contours to both the checks and the jawline. The results can last for up to 2 years.

Belotero is an amazing filler. It is very thin and can be used to erase very fine superficial lines. It is also wonderful to use in the tear trough area or under eye hollows. It will not produce a Tyndal effect, the bluish hue that other hyaluronic fillers can create. Results last between 6-8 months depending on where the product is placed.
